SPACE Solar System Measuring, Orbit Design Tracing & Gravity Experiment
Learn about the Solar System and how planets orbit the sun. Conduct a simple science experiment to illustrate how the planets orbit and measure the differences between the planetary orbits from the sun using a shoe-string and comparing astronomical unit, a unit of measurement equal to 149.6 million kilometers, the mean distance from the center of the earth to the center of the sun. Trace beautiful orbital designs of different planet's motion as a geocentric pattern with how the orbits appear from Earth (or another planet).
Includes six pages of resources. Resources also included in the SPACE Unit Study Bundle.
