Kasut Manik or Peranakan beaded slippers are a type of shoe dating back to the early twentieth century Malaya. They were worn by a Nyonya to complete a Sarong Kebaya outfit. The slippers are made of Manik Potong (Peranakan cut beads) and the intricacy and fine workmanship of these shoes were also a hallmark of highly accomplished Nyonya or Peranakan woman.
