Latitude and longitude form a global grid system to find a location's "absolute position". Latitude measures the north-south position of a point relative to the Equator (0°), measured in degrees north (N) or south (S) of the Equator, up to 90° at the poles. Longitude measures the east-west position relative to the Prime Meridian (0°), which runs through Greenwich, England. It is measured in degrees east (E) or west (W) of the Prime Meridian, up to 180°.

This hand's on activity challenges learners to identify coordinates based on latitude and longitude and connect them to create a simple outline of six of the larger and/or well known islands in Indonesia. Each island has list of coordinates for learners to mark on a custom grid-board, based on accurate real-life coordinates. To help check work, solutions are provided with associated detailed island outline included. Also includes a poster of the world's latitude and longitude lines for reference.

Includes seven (7) pages of resources, also included in the INDONESIA Activity e-Book/Bundle.
